Texan Governor sued for “unconstitutional” participation in prayer rally

Texas Governor Rick Perry is being sued by a national organisation focused on ensuring the separation of Church and state because he plans to participate in a forthcoming Christian prayer rally.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) is asking the Southern District Court of Texas in Houston to declare the governor’s connection to a “Day of Prayer and Fasting” unconstitutional and stop his participation in the event.
