Iraq - Needy Christians 20-227
Country/Region: Africa, Iraq, Middle East and North Africa
![]() |
The situation of Christians in Iraq has become desperate, with threats and violence from Islamic extremists who want to "cleanse" their country of Christians. Christians are told, "Convert to Islam, pay the humiliating jizya tax, leave the country or die." This project is used for a variety of different kinds of support for Iraqi Christians. For example, support for pastors, church libraries of Christian books, mobile clinics to serve Christian refugees, a generator for a church.
