Barnabas Fund helps displaced Christian children in Sudan to get an education in a Christian environment
|
In many countries where Christians live as a despised minority, government schools are strongly anti-Christian. In a hostile environment, where another faith may be strongly promoted, it is very difficult for Christian children to thrive. Impoverished Christian parents cannot afford to pay for their children to go to Christian schools. But Barnabas Fund assists with support for the schools, enabling them to offer very low fees or even free education for children of the poorest Christian families. Currently we support 24 Christian schools or education projects in eight countries, which enable around 5,391 children of Christian parents to get an education in a Christian environment.
