Web Journalist

Web Developer/Programmer

WILTSHIRE VACANCIES

Web Journalist

We are seeking a full-time Web Journalist to be based at our UK headquarters in Wiltshire. The successful candidate must be a strong team player, working closely with our web and editorial teams to produce, edit and compile news, articles and other reference materials for web and other resources.

At times it may also include preliminary research to gather the necessary information. This is an exciting opportunity which will see you being responsible for up-to-date, challenging, thought and prayer-provoking information that would be referred to by audiences across the world, in a variety of styles, aimed at a varied readership in this age of on-demand information.

You must have proven writing skills, displaying a good written style and have excellent attention to detail and able to produce work to tight deadlines.

Salary range: Attractive salary is on offer for the right candidate depending on experience

Web Developer/Programmer

We are seeking a full-time Web Developer/Programmer to be based at our UK headquarters in Wiltshire. The successful candidate will join a growing web development team working on many varied bespoke projects. Main duties include:

  • New site builds including shop and blogging sites
  • Developing the in-house CMS whilst seamlessly integrating and tailoring 3rd party software to work with it
  • Identifying and writing very specific applications for different office teams in order to provide solutions and increase efficiency
  • Find new (free) ways for the work of Barnabas Fund to be advertised across the web using social networking and current web technologies

Candidates must have proven experience (and examples of work) in either PHP/MYSQL and/or Microsoft's ASP.NET framework 2.0. Applicants should also have a good knowledge of XHTML and CSS with additional experience in JavaScript, AJAX, SEO and accessibility being an advantage.

This is a great opportunity for a creative, problem-solving developer with the role allowing great freedom in how problems are solved.
