Operation Nehemiah is calling upon churches in the UK to support local schools, in a video promoting a new initiative, Assisting Christianity Teaching in Schools (ACTS).
UK Government leaves RE out of baccalaureate

The Department for Education confirmed this week that Religious Education will not be included in the new English Baccalaureate for a second year. The decision to exclude RE in favour of music, art and IT was made despite a nationwide campaign by Christian groups and objections from some MPs.
Church in Wales investigates Bible burning by rector

The Church in Wales has launched an investigation after a rector from Gwynedd, Wales, burnt pages from the Bible.
Atheists sue to have cross removed from Ground Zero

A group of atheists in New York have filed a lawsuit to prevent a cross from being displayed at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.
- Pray that the ACTS resources pack will greatly assist British teachers in their presentation of Christianity in primary schools. Pray also that the packs will provide opportunities for children to learn more about the Lord Jesus Christ and understand the Word of God better.
- Pray that the government’s decision to exclude RE from the English Baccalaureate will not stop Christianity from being taught in our schools. Pray that the government will make decisions that do not further advance the secularisation of Britain.
- Pray that the American Atheists organisation will not succeed in their attempt to prevent a cross from being displayed at Ground Zero in New York.
