Burma - Shipping Bibles to Kachin
Country/Region: Myanmar, Burma, South and East Asia
Bibles are immensely precious to Christians in Burma, many of whom lost everything when they fled the violence of the Burmese army. Kachin Christians are a persecuted minority in Burma and many are living in displaced people’s camps. This new year 2013, the Burmese army has been attacking the Kachin people again, and more than 100,000 Kachin have fled, 10,000 of them to China. This project transports tens of thousands of Bibles to Kachin Christians in their own language. It costs between 63 and 55 pence to transport a Bible to a Kachin Christian.
