Christians in Sri Lanka are under pressure from all sides. Most are Tamils and many are therefore amongst the displaced civilians in camps, following the defeat of the “Tamil Tigers” in May 2009. They also suffer discrimination in taxation, employment and education, as well as persecution from Muslims, Hindus and the Buddhist majority. In addition floods in the north and drought in the south (where many Christians work in appalling conditions on tea plantations) are making their problems even worse. Donate to this fund to help our Christian brothers and sisters in Sri Lanka.
