How many more Christmases will there be in the Middle East? ISIS seems intent on destroying the Church. A Christian presence 2,000 years old is disappearing before our eyes.

We’ve all seen it in the news: people so desperate to escape from ISIS that they will give all they have to flee from their homes in Syria and Iraq, only to end up on a dangerous boat in the Mediterranean, with little hope for the future.

Surely there must be another way?

There is, with your help.

Two thousand years ago, King Herod in his fury ordered all the baby boys in Bethlehem to be killed. Our Lord Jesus escaped with his parents, but only because an angel warned Joseph in a dream and told him what to do and where to go.

There are times when someone has to help provide a route – a hope – for those who are trapped in danger. God sent an angel to save Jesus from the killing fields of Bethlehem, but He could use you to help save Christians in the Middle East today.

“Take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”

Matthew 2:13

Through Operation Safe Havens, Barnabas Aid is rescuing Christians in danger in Syria, Iraq and elsewhere, bringing them to countries of safety. Local churches in the receiving countries welcome the Christians on arrival, care for them and help them to settle in and find work and support themselves. Barnabas coordinates the rescue mission, finds governments who will give visas, and covers whatever costs are necessary such as air fares, temporary accommodation en route, or food and basic needs on arrival in their safe haven country.

Many Middle Eastern Christian leaders say, “If we have reached the stage where Christians feel they have no option but to leave, there should be proper orderly arrangements made.”

What would you do?

Stay on the killing fields?

Risk everything with a people trafficker?

Now there’s a way.

You can provide a SAFE escape route for a Syrian Christian family.

Can you be a part of Operation Safe Havens?
