An exciting opportunity has arisen within our organisation, a leading international Christian aid agency, based in the UK. Barnabas Fund is looking for a full-time Writer/Reporter with journalistic training or experience who can join the organisation using their skills and abilities to serve the global persecuted Church.

What will you be doing:

You will be involved in writing copy for our many printed publications, web articles, news reports, prayer materials and fundraising appeals, in line with in-house styles, under the guidance of the Managing and Senior Editors. You will also be involved in proofing and checking pieces of work submitted by colleagues. To fulfil this role you will need journalistic experience or training.

What will you need:

A good eye for detail and high accuracy in work, along with excellent grammar and spelling skills are essential to this role. In addition, the candidate will need appropriate IT skills, which include knowledge of word processing and design programmes and be able to work well under pressure to produce material subject to deadlines. As an organisation, Barnabas Fund acts as a means to publish the truth about the global persecuted church and so knowledge of both contemporary geo-political issues and world religions would be an advantage.

Salary will be dependent on expertise and experience.

This role is full-time, and will be based at the Barnabas Fund office in Pewsey, Wiltshire.

Any successful candidate will need to be committed to Barnabas Fund’s ethos, statement of faith and aims and already have the right to work in the UK, as well as a knowledge of theology, other religions and current affairs.
