Christians uprooted and left destitute by fighting in the Central African Republic (CAR) urgently need food and other essentials. Barnabas is delivering aid to the neediest families affected by this crisis in the capital, Bangui. We are working with the CAR Bible Society to provide 150 families, who lost almost everything they owned, with a food pack and a kit of essential items, which includes soap, washing powder, cooking pots, a large water can, sleeping mats and a Bible. Food packs will also be given to a further 502 families.Kits cost around £40 (€48; US$66; AUS$74; NZ$80). Food packscost approximately £35 (€42; US$57; AUS$65; NZ$70) each.A bag of rice to last a Christian family three months costs around £20 (€24; US$33; AUS$37; NZ$40). Three sleeping mats for a displaced Christian family cost approximately £10 (€12; US$16; AUS$18; NZ$20).
