Projects > Sewing and Literacy Centre for Women

24 May 2017

Pakistani Christian women with little or no education often have to take jobs as domestic cleaners in the homes of wealthy families from the majority community, where they are very vulnerable to molestation and abuse. This project trains Christian women to sew, so that they can earn an income for their family without putting themselves into risky situations. They are also taught to read and write in Urdu, so they can read the Bible.
