Eritrean Christians who have fled their homeland trying to get to the Holy Land via Egypt often find themselves victimised because of their Christian faith. They can be treated harshly both by the Egyptian authorities, and by the Bedouin that they meet in the desert. Many end up in prison or are taken hostage for ransom. This project also contributes to the running costs of a women's refuge in the Holy Land that provides basic necessities and medical care to the refugees.
