There are thousands of very poor Christian Sudanese refugees from the Nuba Mountains in Egypt. In the past two years, one Moro congregation grew from about 300 to 580 people. The congregation has been offering a meal after church for almost two years now, but as prices in Egypt have risen 35% since the 2011 uprising, Barnabas Fund has been asked to help meet the costs of the meals. The meals have a very positive effect on community life and guarantee that the refugees have at least one good meal a week. It costs a total of approximately £92 to give a meal to these few hundred refugees each week.
