Production Manager

We are looking for a skilled individual to join Barnabas Fund as a full-time Production Manager with experience in printing processes to join us in producing engaging and professional publications which enables us to effectively communicate the plight of the persecuted Church.

What will you be doing:

To fulfil this role, you will be oversee the printing department and production of Barnabas Fund materials including magazines, booklets, newsletters, books, leaflets etc. Your responsibilities lie in supervising the production line, working alongside other department managers to ensure deadlines are met. You will liaise with the Directors and senior management to effectively fulfil printing requirements on all print projects, as well as provide advice and guidance on national and global printing trends.

You will also achieve the following:

  • Ensure quality control of production is maintained.
  • Establish and maintain high current printing standards.
  • Manage the organisation working relationships with other suppliers.
  • Review incoming print requests and manage the print schedule.
  • Proof and manage incoming artwork, making suggestions and changes to ensure final product meets required standards.
  • Have a continued understanding of current technological advances and effects on our print production
  • Manage the printing budget, estimating costs and prepare the budget reports.
  • Prepare reports and records of printing progress for senior management review.
  • Other duties as required.

What will you need:

  • A passion for printing, with a desire for absolute precision, and a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Clear commitment to high accuracy and professional quality results.
  • Previous work experience in managing printing production, and line managing production teams.
  • Appreciation of customer service and ability to engage with and understand the thoughts, intentions and desires of management for ongoing and new publications.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in fields such as graphic design, print production, publishing production, quality management etc.
  • A demonstrable ability to organise a complex workload, meet regular short and longer-term deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Good IT knowledge and technology engagement, including working knowledge of Adobe Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Have problem-solving skills and take the initiative when necessary.
  • A good knowledge of Christian theology, current affairs, geopolitical issues and world religions would be a considerable advantage.

Salary range: £30,000 - £35,000

You will be working within our office from our international office in Pewsey, Wiltshire. This is an office-based role.
