Fundraise

Our supporters frequently amaze us by the bold and imaginative ways they find to raise money to meet the needs of the suffering Church. Could you organise a fundraising event for Barnabas Aid on behalf of persecuted Christians?

Ways that you can fundraise

New Zealand Art for Charity

Calling all artists, craftspeople and event organisers. New Zealand Art for Charity (NZAFC) offers a great way to fundraise in support of Barnabas Aid’s work helping persecuted Christians. We have already run several successful exhibitions with all proceeds raised going to support Barnabas’ work helping our brothers and sisters under pressure and persecution around the world.

Would you like to join with us to run your own exhibition? This can be on a small scale in your local church building or as a larger event with an opening, drinks and nibbles. Get in touch if you would like a Barnabas Speaker to talk about our work at your event and share information about the specific project being supported.

If you are an artist, photographer or craftsperson you can donate your work and help plan or set up, as well as be part of the exhibition. If you are none of these, but just love to organise and fundraise, you can do the crucial work of initiating and helping to plan a fundraising exhibition. You can also be there at the event helping to sell artworks and looking after guests. Volunteers with art framing skills could also be a great help in getting artworks ready and looking their best for display.

We at NZAFC will provide structure, support, advertising and photography. People love these events as they get to buy something really nice to display on their walls at home, or as a gift, while supporting the marvellous, sacrificial work of our partners in some of the most difficult regions of the world to be a Christian.

Fundraise on Givealittle

Want to get motivated and change a life at the same time? You could run or walk a marathon, even cycle across New Zealand, or hold a casual-dress day at work or school.

Just choose any fundraising idea and pick a Barnabas Aid project to support. Your gift could be used to: Free a bonded brick-kiln family from slavery, help with natural disaster relief such as Cyclone Idai in Africa, sustain a family living in poverty with monthly food parcels, support an evangelist or pastor in their ministry, sponsor a child throughout their school years and see them grow in the Lord or strengthen suffering Christians through the grace of God’s Word by investing in the gift of a Bible each month.

Set up your Givealittle account, making sure you link it to the Barnabas Aid NZ Givealittle page: https://givealittle.co.nz/org/barnabas-fund-nz, then start fundraising to help our persecuted brothers and sisters.
