Syrian Christians need practical help urgently. Please give today.

4 January 2019

250 Christians killed a month globally

An average of 250 Christians are killed around the world every month, said the UK Government’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office. “So often the persecution of Christians is a telling early warning sign of the persecution of every minority ... We can and must do more,” said Jeremy Hunt, the UK Foreign Secretary, on 26 December 2018.

Don’t wait for the government review
The UK’s Foreign Secretary, Jeremy Hunt, has taken up the cause persecuted Christians worldwide, He has ordered a review of the situation and asked for "ambitious policy recommendations". This is welcome news but will take considerable time. The needs are urgent – will you help now?

No need to wait. You can help now

Now, in the winter cold, Barnabas Fund is providing heaters and blankets to needy Christians in Syria. We also gave Christmas gifts to bring a little joy to some of the poorest Christian children, traumatised by the long years of war, danger and suffering.

We provide food and medical care. We give funds to repair war-damaged homes and shop premises. We help Christians to support themselves again with small businesses making jams, pickles, traditional foods, soap, candles or hand-sewn items. In 2019 we will be supporting a Christian bakery providing employment for many believers.

Syrian Christians need your support and prayers

We invite you to make a donation today to help Christians in Syria, as they emerge from the long years of civil war and persecution by Islamic State and other Islamist rebel groups. Hundreds of thousands were displaced, losing jobs as they uprooted and moved, searching for somewhere safe in their homeland to stay until the violence was over.

There is no need to wait for the British Government's new review to reach its conclusions and make its recommendations. You can help today, in a very practical way, by making a gift to Barnabas Fund.

Please pray for them and please give.
